GET REAL

GET REAL
ROLE
Lead Unreal Engine Supervisor
DESCRIPTION
Get Real is a promotional film created by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to advertise the power Unreal Engine has for industries outside of games. Intended to showcase their XR stage, all rendered environments needed to work smoothly in Disguise, and sell as real life, being as hyper-realistic as possible. Groups of students were contracted by SCAD to create the film, myself included.
I took on the role of Lead Unreal Engine Supervisor, acting as the main environment artist for four separate environments, building three almost entirely alone. I supervised over two dozen artists and instructed Unreal Engine's fundamental basics to groups of artists inexperienced in the software, before overseeing the creation of the film in its entirety, from concept to final draft, independently modeling, sourcing, and texturing assets before stressing and lighting scenes in Unreal. I also created numerous sharers for this experience, and handled all post-processing effects in engine.
The project is expected to be completed by post production teams in the next few months in time to be submitted for a student Emmy nomination.
